Shubham Dubey, a left-handed middle-order batter from Vidarbha, made headlines with his explosive 58 off just 20 balls during Vidarbha's record run-chase in the 2023 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. With a remarkable strike rate of 290 in that match, Dubey established himself as a game-changer. Shubham Dubey's journey began with playing gully cricket in his neighbourhood after being inspired by watching the Indian cricket team on television. His hard work paid off when Rajasthan Royals signed him during the IPL 2024 auction for a whopping INR 5.8 crore, giving him his first taste of the big leagues. In his debut IPL season, Shubham Dubey made just four appearances but did enough to convince the Royals to buy him back for IPL 2025.
