Following Ajinkya Rahane back into the Rajasthan Royals fold after the 2018 IPL auction is Stuart Binny for 50 Lakhs. Binny has played for several IPL teams, but his real T20 home is in Rajasthan!... In IPL 2010, he was bought by Mumbai Indians and in 2016 he was bagged by RCB, but his most thrilling performances have been for the Royals. In the 2013 IPL, Binny hit 32 not out off 13 balls against Pune Warriors to help the Royals reach their target of 179. Binny's unbeaten 41 against Chennai Super Kings put his team into the playoffs where he also performed impeccably. However, it wasn’t just with the bat that Binny excelled, he was an expert with the ball in hand too, securing valuable wickets against Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab in that 2013 campaign. Binny rapidly gained a reputation as a cool player under pressure – and the national selectors liked what they saw, picking him for India's ODI team for the tour of New Zealand 2014. He also played in the Arise Asia Cup 2014. On June 17th 2014 against Bangladesh, Binny secured six wickets, conceding only four runs in the process. By doing that he surpassed Anil Kumble in securing the best bowling record for an Indian bowler. He also scored a lone 25 not out in the third match against Bangladesh. The Indian selectors also thought he had what it takes to be a success in the longer format - and Stuart made his Test debut in the first match during the tour of England 2014, scoring 78 runs in the second innings. He was also selected for the second and third test matches in Sri Lanka in August 2015. Stuart made his T20 International debut for India against Zimbabwe on July 17th 2015. Multi-skilled all rounders like Mr. Binny are invaluable in T20 – it’s fantastic to have Stuart back where he belongs!
