Rajasthan Royals spinner Wanindu Hasaranga lit up the ACA Stadium in Guwahati with some Pushpa flavour as he struck the iconic Thaggede le (won’t back down) pose after dismissing Chennai Super Kings’ Shivam Dube in the RR vs CSK IPL 2025 clash on Sunday.
Inspired by Telugu superstar Allu Arjun’s blockbuster franchise Pushpa, the Thaggede le or jhukega nahi pose involves wiping one’s chin with the back of his hand with a confident strut. The pose was even showcased at the famous Madame Tussauds museum in Dubai.

Hasaranga imitated the same pose while celebrating scalping Shivam Dube’s wicket in the 10th over of the match.
"I love to watch Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil films, and I got that from the Pushpa film," Hasaranga said after the match.
This wasn’t the first time that Hasaranga broke out the iconic celebration after taking a wicket.
The Sri Lankan spinner was also seen doing the iconic gesture after dismissing Kolkata Knight Riders’ skipper Ajinkya Rahane in Rajasthan’s second match of the season at the ACA stadium last week.

Other cricketers, namely David Warner, Suryakumar Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy, have also been spotted sporting the iconic Pushpa celebration on the cricket field.
Hasaranga is no stranger when it comes to styling celebrations. He has previously imitated Brazilian football star Neymar’s famous ‘Call Me’ celebration as well.
He later admitted that Neymar is his favourite footballer.
