Mahipal Lomror headlined the drawn Uttarakhand vs Rajasthan encounter in the fifth round of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun on Saturday.
Lomror scored a triple-hundred to power the Rajasthan cricket team to a mammoth first-innings total of 660/7d. His unbeaten 300 came in just 360 balls and was studded with 25 fours and 13 sixes.

Uttarakhand could manage only 362 in their first innings and conceded the first-innings lead. Yuvraj Chaudhary top-scored for the home side with 158 while Aniket Choudhary was the pick among Rajasthan bowlers with an impressive spell of 5/86.
Following on, Uttarakhand fought their way to reach 185/4 and drew the match.
The Rajasthan cricket team, unbeaten in the current Ranji Trophy campaign, got three points from the Elite Group B contest for its first-innings lead over Uttarakhand, who took home a solitary point.
Batting first, Lomror came into the middle after the visitors lost their first wicket in the 10th over with the score reading 23. Lomror held one end up though Rajasthan slipped from 106/1 to 188/4.
The southpaw received good support from 18-year-old Kartik Sharma (113), who scored a century on debut. Kartik scored 11 fours and six sixes during his knock and added 177 for the fifth wicket with Lomror.
Mahipal Lomror scored at a healthy strike rate of 83.33 with 178 of his total runs coming in boundaries. He received great support from the lower order to become the first Rajasthan batter to score a triple ton in a Ranji Trophy match.
The visiting side declared their innings as Lomror remained unbeaten in what was his eighth first-class century. His previous highest score in first-class cricket was 133.
Rajasthan continue to be in fourth place in Elite Group B of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 points table with 16 points from four draws and a win after the first five rounds.
The Ranji Trophy 2024-25 will now break for the white-ball tournaments, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy, the premier domestic T20 and 50-over tournaments, respectively, in India.
Rajasthan will resume their Ranji Trophy campaign against Vidarbha in the sixth round of Elite Group B at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur starting on January 23, 2025.
