Tom Kohler-Cadmore hit his highest score of the season to help his team win the quarter-final match of England's T20 league on Thursday.
Kohler-Cadmore, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, scored 63 runs in 43 balls, with the help of two fours and five sixes, at the County Ground in Northampton. He reached his half-century off 38 balls.
It was Kohler-Cadmore’s second fifty of the ongoing tournament. He has played 14 matches this season in the tournament, scoring 365 runs at an average of 30.41 and a strike rate of 141.47.
The 30-year-old Kohler-Cadmore forged a 125-run stand in 69 balls with top-scorer Tom Banton, whose 75 off 43 earned him the Player of the Match.
The partnership helped the team score 215/3 in 20 overs and win the match by 17 runs.
Ben Sanderson was the pick of the bowlers for the side, picking 1/23 in his four overs. In the chase, captain David Willey top-scored with 57 runs off 39 balls but tight bowling meant that the opposition could only manage 198/5 in their 20 overs. Lewis Gregory scalped 3/35 in his four overs for the winning side.
