Nandre Burger was included in South Africa’s ODI and T20 squads that will tour the United Arab Emirates to play Afghanistan and Ireland.

The South Africa cricket team is scheduled to play three One-Day Internationals against Afghanistan starting September 18 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The second and third ODIs will be played on September 20 and September 22 with all three matches happening at the same venue.

The Proteas will then travel to Abu Dhabi to play two T20s and three ODIs against Ireland. The Ireland series will start with the T20s slated on September 27 and September 29.

The ODI leg of the series will start on October 2 with the second and third ODIs happening on October 4 and October 7, respectively. All the matches in Abu Dhabi will be hosted by the Zayed Cricket Stadium.

Burger, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, is one among nine players who will be part of the South African team in all three series. The left-arm pacer was also part of the Proteas Test and T20 team that toured the West Indies last month.

The 29-year-old Burger picked up three wickets in the second Test against the Windies, which the Proteas won by 40 runs. South Africa also won the series 1-0.

Cricket South Africa has decided to rest many of their senior players including Keshav Maharaj for the Afghanistan and Ireland series.
