Rajasthan Royals’ first match at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will be against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday, April 13.
This will be the sixth match of IPL 2025 for the Royals and their third home game. The first two home games, against Chennai Super Kings on March 26 and against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 30, will be played at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati.
The RR vs RCB IPL 2025 match will begin at 3:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).
The last time these two sides met, the Royals knocked RCB out in the IPL 2024 Eliminator, chasing down 172 in 19 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal (46), Riyan Parag (36) and Shimron Hetmyer (26) played key roles in sealing the win. Earlier in the league stage, Sanju Samson’s 69 powered RR to another successful chase against RCB at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
The Royals head into the new season with a formidable batting core, featuring Samson, Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel and exciting young talent in Vaibhav Suryavanshi. RR’s bowling line-up has the likes of Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer and Maheesh Theekshana.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be led by Rajat Patidar, with Virat Kohli and Phil Salt also in the mix.
Sawai Mansingh Stadium history
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium (SMS), named after the former Maharaja of Jaipur, has been the home ground of the Rajasthan Royals since the inaugural edition. Also known as the Jaipur Cricket Stadium, it has a seating capacity of nearly 24,000 spectators.
In IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Royals will play five of their seven home matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Limited parking is available at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The nearest bus stops are Rambagh Circle or Nagar Nigam Lal Kothi. For those travelling by train, the nearest railway stations are Gandhinagar and Bais Godam. The stadium is also accessible from Jaipur Junction railway station.
