Rajasthan Royals will host Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday, April 19. It will be the Royals’ second match in Jaipur.

This will be RR’s seventh match of the IPL 2025 season overall and their fourth home fixture.

Notably, the Royals’ first two home games - against Chennai Super Kings on March 26 and Kolkata Knight Riders on March 30 - will take place at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati. Rajasthan’s first home game in Jaipur is against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 13.

The match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium will begin at 7:30 PM IST, with RR aiming to extend their dominance over LSG, having won four of their five previous encounters.

When the teams last clashed at the SMS Stadium last year, Sanju Samson’s unbeaten 82 off 52 balls powered RR to 193/4 before Sandeep Sharma’s economical 1/22 helped secure a 20-run win. Both players remain key figures in RR’s lineup for IPL 2025.

Meanwhile, LSG will be led by Rishabh Pant, who takes over the captaincy for the new season.

Sawai Mansingh Stadium history

The Sawai Mansingh Stadium, named after the former Maharaja of Jaipur, has been the home ground of the Rajasthan Royals since the inaugural edition. Also known as the Jaipur Cricket Stadium, it has a seating capacity of nearly 24,000 spectators.

In IPL 2025, the Rajasthan Royals will play five of their seven home matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
