The contest at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will be the second meeting between the two sides in IPL 2025, with the first match between the two teams taking place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday, April 13.
Historically, Rajasthan hold a slender advantage at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium with four wins in seven completed matches. The last time they met at this venue, Dhruv Jurel’s unbeaten 34 off 16 nearly helped RR pull off a dramatic chase of 189.
About M Chinnaswamy Stadium
Established in 1969, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium was originally called the Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium. It was later renamed after M Chinnaswamy, a former BCCI president.
With a seating capacity of 40,000, the stadium has hosted memorable encounters over the decades, including its first Test in 1974-75 featuring the debut of West Indian legend Viv Richards.
The April 24 fixture will be Rajasthan Royals’ ninth outing in IPL 2025. Following their visit to Bengaluru, they return home to host Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday, April 28.
