The schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season is out and Rajasthan Royals are set to kick off their campaign against last year’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on March 23.
The IPL 2025 season officially kicks off on March 22. The Royals will be involved in the season’s first game in the afternoon a day later.
Like the previous seasons, each team will play 14 league matches - seven home and seven away.
Rajasthan Royals’ first two home games of the season are scheduled to be played at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati against Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings on March 26 and March 30, respectively.
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur will serve as Rajasthan Royals’ fortress for the rest of the home matches.
Rajasthan Royals’ star-studded line-up, led by Sanju Samson, will be one of the teams to beat in the IPL 2025.
The Royals boast a strong young unit for the upcoming season with the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Riyan Parag and teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the squad.
Rajasthan Royals, who won the inaugural IPL title in 2008, reached the playoffs last year after finishing third on the points table.
The top two teams on the IPL 2025 points table will meet in the Qualifier 1 to be played in Hyderabad on May 20 and the winner will qualify for the final. Meanwhile, the third and fourth-placed teams in the league stage play the Eliminator at the same venue on the following day.
The winner of the Eliminator will play the loser of Qualifier 1 for a right to play in the summit clash to be played at the Eden Gardens on May 25.
