Jeddah, 25th November 2024: After an intense two-day IPL 2025 Player Auction, Royals Sports Group-owned franchise Rajasthan Royals were able to successfully secure the services of 14 players worth ₹40.7 crores.
Royals’ Lead Owner Mr Manoj Badale, who has reacted to the business done by the Royals, provides his comments along with what he makes of the final squad:
On the business done on Day 2 and the overall Auction
"We came into the auction with a strong Indian batting core that we believe has the ability to perform over multiple cycles. We were looking to add an experienced and talented bowling unit. I am happy with what we’ve been able to achieve. We've acquired multiple international wicket takers and promising Indian talent. We've also been able to add depth in both batting and bowling departments.
“Some of these are familiar faces who've developed over the last couple of years and there's some new exciting talent who we can't wait to work with.
“Overall we're delighted with the squad we've been able to finalize, which is a mixture of proven experience and exciting youth."
Strategy at the Auction
"Rahul (Dravid), Kumar and the entire team have put in an incredible amount of effort in preparation for these two days. Having executed that vision and planning, I'm really excited for the upcoming season. We had our targets in mind and have been able to secure most of them. We believe we've been able to assemble a squad that will be competitive this season and will give our fans plenty of reasons to be proud of us."
