Fast bowler Jofra Archer has been named in the England cricket team’s white-ball tour of India next month as well as the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The India tour includes three ODIs and five T20Is played in January and February. The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is being hosted by Pakistan in February and March.

Both squads feature 15 players, marking the first tour and tournament under head coach Brendon McCullum.

While Jofra Archer made his ODI debut for England in 2019, he has only played 27 matches, picking 47 wickets at 25.12 apiece. The 29-year-old pacer, signed by the Rajasthan Royals for the 2025 Indian Premier League, has represented his country in 29 T20Is.

Archer, a member of the 2019 World Cup-winning squad, made a return to ODIs for England after 18 months against Australia late in September.

Earlier this month, Archer secured a central contract extension with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) until September 2026.

Archer’s previous contract was due to expire next October, just ahead of England cricket team’s Ashes tour Down Under.

The tour party will leave for India on January 17. The T20 series against India will be held from January 22 to February 2 while the ODIs are scheduled from February 6 to 12.
