The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 officially gets underway on Saturday with reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) hosting Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Rajasthan Royals (RR), meanwhile, will start their IPL 2025 campaign on the road against last year’s finalists Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
The Royals’ first home game of the season will be against five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati on March 26 followed by a tussle against KKR at the same venue four days later.
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur will serve as Rajasthan Royals’ fortress for the rest of the home matches. Find the Royals’ full IPL 2025 schedule here.
All IPL 2025 matches, including Rajasthan Royals’ fixtures, will be available to watch on live streaming and live telecast in India.
The IPL 2025 format will see the Royals play 14 matches - seven at home and rest away - in the league stage. Rajasthan Royals will face CSK, RCB, KKR, PBKS and GT twice each while playing MI, DC, SRH and LSG once.
Following the league stage, the top four teams in the IPL 2025 points table will make the playoffs.
Rajasthan Royals have made the IPL playoffs in two of the last three seasons while narrowly missing out in 2023 after finishing fifth.
With Sanju Samson at the helm, the Royals made the final in 2022 and were only ousted in Qualifier 2 by SRH last season.
Having endured two near misses, the new-look Royals team, under new head coach Rahul Dravid, will be looking to go all the way this season and reclaim the IPL title for the first time since their triumph in the inaugural season in 2008.
