Featuring 18 double headers, 12 venues, and 52 days of non-stop action, IPL 2023 returns to its traditional home-and-away format without the restrictions of a bio-bubble. The tournament is set to begin on March 31, just a few days after the conclusion of the inaugural Women’s IPL.
This year, the season will kick off with defending champions Gujarat Titans taking on Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Finalists from last year, the Royals are slated to play their opener against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on the latter’s home ground on April 02. The spectacle will then move to the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati - the Royals’ new home - where they play consecutive matches against Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals respectively. The Royals’ original home ground, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur is set to host the team on April 19 for a match against Lucknow Super Giants.
IPL 2023’s league stage ends on May 21, with the Royals playing their final league game a couple of days before, against Punjab Kings in Dharamsala.
Retaining their core team and solidifying the overall squad with quality additions in the mini-auction, the Royals’ IPL 2023 campaign promises to be full of excitement and high-octane action.
