Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag will continue to be part of the T20 set up with both finding a place in the Indian cricket team for the Bangladesh series.

The BCCI selection committee named Samson and Parag in the 15-member Indian squad that will play three T20Is against the visiting Bangladesh from October 6.

The first India vs Bangladesh T20 will be played in Gwalior with the second and third matches scheduled at Delhi and Hyderabad on October 9 and October 12, respectively.

Parag, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, shone with the ball in the T20 series versus Sri Lanka picking up three wickets from three matches at an impressive economy of 6.64 and strike rate of 18.66. The young spinner also recorded his career-best T20 figures of 3/5 during the series.

Meanwhile, Samson, who is the captain of the Royals, was last seen in action in the Duleep Trophy earlier this month. He scored 196 runs from two matches, including a century, for India D at an average of 49.00.

Parag was also part of the Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament where he accumulated 193 runs from three matches at an average of 32.16 for India A, which won the title.

This will be the third straight T20I series in Indian colours for the Royals duo of Samson and Parag. Both were part of the side that toured Zimbabwe and then Sri Lanka in the shorter format.

Fast bowler Mayank Yadav, who impressed in IPL 2024 with his blistering pace, has earned his first-ever call-up to the Indian national team. Spinner Varun Chakravarthy, who last played a T20I in 2021, returns.
