However, the Gujarat Titans clawed back through a steady 80-run stand between Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan before Maheesh Theekshana broke the momentum by dismissing Buttler in the 10th over. Despite regular breakthroughs from Tushar Deshpande (2/53), Sandeep Sharma (1/41), and Theekshana (2/54) in the back 10 overs, the Titans surged at the death. From 94/2 at the 10-over mark, Shahrukh Khan’s 36 off 20 balls, along with cameos from Rahul Tewatia (24 off 12) and Rashid Khan (12 off 4) powered Gujarat to 217/6.

Rajasthan Royals’ chase began on a shaky note, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana departing inside the first three overs. Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag attempted to steady the innings with a brisk 48-run stand but Parag’s dismissal in the seventh over halted their momentum. Samson continued to anchor the chase, adding another 48-run partnership with Shimron Hetmyer before falling in the 13th over.

Rajasthan Royals will face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their next IPL 2025 match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday.
