The Duleep Trophy 2024-25 will mark the start of the domestic cricket season with matches scheduled to be held in Bengaluru and Anantapur on Thursday.

The Duleep Trophy 2024 will be available to watch on live streaming and on TV.

Four teams are competing in Duleep Trophy 2024 - Team A, Team B, Team C and Team D.

Seven players who represent Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League will be part of the Duleep Trophy this year. All-rounders Riyan Parag and Tanush Kotian, wicketkeepers Dhruv Jurel and pace bowler Avesh Khan will be part of Team A.

Royals’ pacer Prasidh Krishna will miss the first match as he continues his recovery from a quadricep injury. He was originally in the Team A squad as well.

Meanwhile, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and pacer Navdeep Saini will represent Team B. Sanju Samson, who replaced the injured Ishan Kishan, is in Team D.

The Duleep Trophy squads of the four teams A, B, C and D will be led by Shubman Gill, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shreyas Iyer, respectively.

KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel will be the other star attractions in the tournament that will also double up as a preparatory match before the Indian men’s cricket team’s upcoming three-match Test series against Bangladesh starting on September 19.

Suryakumar Yadav will be unavailable for the first round of the Duleep Trophy after suffering a sprain to his right thumb while fielding in the All-India Buchi Babu Tournament.

Duleep Trophy 2024 format

Team A will meet Team B at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru while Team C will square off against Team D at the ACA ADCA Ground in Anantapur as the traditional zonal competition makes way for a four-team tournament.

There will be a total of six four-day matches with each team playing the other three sides once in a single round-robin format. There will not be any knockout matches with the team that finishes on top of the points table at the end of the group stage being declared winners.

Duleep Trophy 2023 was conducted in the zonal format with South Zone coming up victorious against West Zone by 75 runs in the Final last year.
