My name is Mihir Jain, I’m 23 years old, proudly hailing from the enchanting city of lakes - Udaipur.
I’m currently pursuing my MBA in Marketing but beyond academics and my career aspirations, there’s one passion that fuels my soul - cricket. And not just cricket in general, but a lifelong devotion to Rajasthan Royals.
Falling in love with the Royals
My journey with Rajasthan Royals began with the very inception of the IPL, in 2008.
I was just an eight-year-old kid at the time but that inaugural season left an indelible mark on me. It wasn’t just cricket; it was magic!
Watching the legendary Shane Warne, the spin wizard himself, captaining an underdog team and lead them to victory was awe-inspiring. From that moment on, the Royals became a part of my identity.
The icing on the cake came a few years later when my all-time favourite cricketer, Rahul Dravid, joined the Royals.
Dravid’s calm demeanour, leadership and class made me love this team even more. As a young fan, I admired how the Royals always stayed true to their values of nurturing talent and playing fearless cricket.
Unforgettable moments
From donning my first blue Rajasthan Royals jersey as a kid to cheering for the team in their new pink stripes as an adult, my love for the Royals has only grown.
I still remember watching my first live IPL match, the excitement of the crowd, the chants of ‘Halla Bol’ echoing through the stadium and the sight of my heroes playing right before my eyes. Those moments will stay etched in my memory forever.
Each season brings with it fresh hope and incredible memories, whether it’s dramatic last-ball finishes, breakout performances from young players or the sheer joy of being part of the Royals community.
Watching live matches every year, cheering for the team with unwavering passion and experiencing the ups and downs alongside my boys in pink fills me with immense pride.
A dream beyond the trophy
While lifting the IPL trophy again remains a cherished dream, my aspirations for Rajasthan Royals go beyond that.
As a proud Royals fan, I passionately support our extended family in Paarl Royals and Barbados Royals. It’s thrilling to see the Royals brand flourish in other leagues and I’m hopeful that we’ll see more Royals franchises dominating across the globe.
My dream is to witness a true Royals revolution—a franchise that not only wins trophies but also sets benchmarks for cricketing excellence, fairness and talent development worldwide.
I want to see the Royals family expand and leave an everlasting impact on the sport, touching hearts and inspiring fans everywhere.
Looking ahead
As the new IPL season approaches, my excitement is off the charts.
I can’t wait to see my boys in pink dominate IPL 2025 while displaying the fearless and innovative cricket that has become our trademark.
Rajasthan Royals is not just a team for me; it’s an emotion, a part of who I am and a bond I’ll cherish for life.
